Terms of Service
Use BuddyPact to track goals with an accountability buddy. Be respectful, don't post anything illegal, and understand the app is provided as-is. You own your content. We can suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Agreement to terms
By creating an account or using BuddyPact, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app. You must be at least 13 years old to use BuddyPact.
What BuddyPact is
BuddyPact is an accountability app. You create projects with goals, check in daily with photos and notes, and optionally pair with a buddy who can see your progress. The app helps you stay consistent, it doesn't guarantee results.
Your account
You're responsible for your account and everything that happens under it. Keep your sign-in email secure. One account per person. Don't share accounts or create fake ones.
We can suspend or delete your account if you violate these terms. You can delete your account anytime from your profile settings. When you delete your account, it is deactivated immediately. Your data is permanently removed after 30 days.
Your content
You own everything you post: check-in photos, notes, project descriptions, your profile. By posting, you give us a limited license to display it within the app to the people who should see it (your buddy, and where applicable, other users). We don't use your content for anything else.
You're responsible for your content. Don't post anything that's illegal, harassing, or violates someone else's rights.
Acceptable use
When using BuddyPact, don't:
- Post illegal, abusive, or harassing content
- Impersonate other people
- Upload malware or attempt to hack the app
- Spam other users or abuse the buddy system
- Use the app to stalk, bully, or intimidate anyone
- Scrape data or use bots
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules.
Buddy relationships
When you add a buddy to a project, both of you can see each other's check-ins on that project. Choose your buddy carefully. We're not responsible for interactions between buddies. You can block users you don't want to interact with. You can report activities or comments that violate our acceptable use rules. If someone is being inappropriate, use the report or block features, or contact us at support@buddypact.app.
The app is provided as-is
BuddyPact is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the app will be available 100% of the time, that it will be bug-free, or that it will meet your specific needs. We do our best, but things break sometimes.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BuddyPact and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Since BuddyPact is a free service, our total liability is limited to $0. If we introduce paid features in the future, liability would be limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Poland. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you through the app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
